Refund policy

We have a 14-day return policy, which means you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a full refund, your item must be in the exact same condition that you received it. Because this is a guided/fill-in book, it must be completely unused, unwritten, and pristine. You'll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

How this applies depends on where your order is shipped:

Orders shipped outside the European Union (e.g. to the US or UK): books that have been written in, drawn in, or show any signs of use are strictly non-returnable and non-refundable. See "Exceptions / non-returnable items" below.

Orders shipped within the European Union: you have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal that cannot be excluded, even if the book has been written in — but the refund amount may be reduced depending on the book's condition. See "European Union 14-day cooling-off period" below for the specific rules that apply instead of the exception below.

Damages and issues

Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged, or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right. This is separate from, and unaffected by, the return conditions above — a genuinely defective or damaged item remains covered regardless of whether it has been written in, in accordance with your statutory warranty rights.

Exceptions / non-returnable items (orders shipped outside the EU)

For orders shipped outside the European Union, we cannot accept returns on items that have been written in, drawn in, customized, or personalized. Additionally, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards. If your order is shipped within the EU, this section does not apply to you — see the EU cooling-off section below instead.

Exchanges

The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

European Union 14-day cooling-off period

If your order is shipped into the European Union, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of receiving it, for any reason and without justification, in accordance with EU consumer protection law.

To exercise this right, contact us at contact@veridianpress.com within 14 days of receipt, and return the item to us within a further 14 days.

Because A Delicious Life is a guided/fill-in book, the amount refunded depends on its condition on return:

If the book is returned completely unused, unwritten, and in its original packaging, you will receive a full refund.

If the book has been written in, drawn in, or otherwise used beyond what is necessary to inspect its nature, characteristics, and functioning, we will deduct a value-reduction amount from your refund. Given the nature of this product, this deduction may amount to up to 100% of the purchase price, as a used, written-in book has no resale or re-use value to us.

This approach reflects mandatory EU law: we cannot deny your right to withdraw from the purchase, but we may reduce the refund to reflect any loss in value caused by use beyond inspection.

Refunds

We will notify you once we've received and inspected your return, and let you know the amount of any refund. If approved (in full or in part, per the sections above), you'll be automatically refunded to your original payment method within 10 business days. It can take additional time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund.
